Wow, this is some scary stuff. Sam in the process of losing his humanity. And gotta love Evil!Ruby! This is so much how I wish canon would go: Ruby either forced to help Sam or manipulating for her own purposes, all the while staying true to her demonic nature.

Terrific story!

Thank you! I totally agree, I thought Ruby was a much more interesting character before they gave her a redeeming backstory. She's always seemed to put herself first, to me.

Cool. I can see Sam going down this road. And Ruby...yeah, she makes sense like this. And it just all keeps snowballing in hate and pain in endless cycles, until the captor is the captive, held tight in deadly claws. Scary and horrifying and very believable.

Oh, thank you so much! I completely agree with how you describe Ruby here- manipulating Sam for pure glee, exactly! I always felt her characterization was kind of up and down in the series, I never know where they're going with her.
