Awww. Totally my new personal canon. I thought the Duchess was really interesting as soon as it became obvious she wasn't just a cardboard-cutout seductress, so this fic is pretty much perfect.

Aw, thank you so much! Yeah, I thought they managed to make the Duchess very complex for having so little screen time. The show left so many threads dangling, and the Duchess was one of them. I had to do something about that! I may or may not write something about Hatter and MAd March next. Not a shippy thing, I didn't get that vibe at all, but there's got to be some kind of history... Anyway, I'm really glad you like the fic!

Thank you so much! I worked really hard on this so it's great to get feedback. I really enjoy "filling in the blanks" of stories I love so I'm glad you think I did a good job. This was also my first time using Photoshop to do the cover art, so I'd welcome your opinion on that. (I already know there's problems with it, so don't worry about hurting my feelings!)

With the back cover, I tried putting sort of a "dandelion border" on one side but it ended up looking totally disconnected from the main image, I really didn't like the effect. I had a limited amount of time to do the back cover, I really wish I'd had more time to play with it, since like I said I'm still figuring out what I can do with Photoshop. I'll keep your advice in mind next time I do a cover. I'm glad you liked the front, at least. It was much more of "my baby" than the back. Thanks again for the feedback!

I recently rewatched Alice, and you might be pleased to know that this is still my personal canon. The Jack/Duchess relationship was already interesting, but the depth this fic gives it made their on-screen interactions even more compelling.
