(oh, and I'm here via _in_babylon, and as I'm still in the process of mulling over your previous posts, I just want to say thank you for sharing your thoughts, especially on season 5 of QaF. I'm 1 of the people who wanted a closed&sealed ending, and haven't even realised that until I read your 513 post... then I remembered Katherine Paterson's "The Great Gilly Hopkins", and what she wrote about happy endings - that it's a lie, 'cause the only real ending we ever get is death. So, it was great to see my mixed feelings from a whole new perspective *g* Um. Having said all that, I friended you, hope you don't mind!)

Thanks, I'm glad you think so!
ITA with that statement about the "happy ending" being a lie. I like it when a story ends on a happy, upbeat note (which, IMO, QAF did), but I don't like a closed ending, where it feels like the storyteller is trying to make it appear that everything has been wrapped up in a bow and the story is over. Well, if it's a movie, where you only spent a couple of hours with the characters, I don't mind a closed ending. But when it comes to characters that I got to know and love over the course of years, I like being left with the feeling that their story isn't over just because the show is over.
And, no, I don't mind at all that you friended me; I friended you back. I'm glad that you're enjoying reading my posts.
