September 11th: Not such a bad day.

Spouse very sweetly made me a carrot cake with cream cheese icing (yummy) & butter pecan ice cream (yum). We went out to eat with his mom at the local steak house.

I called my mom. She didn’t remember it was my birthday & I had to tell her my age 3 times. But she was happy to hear from me & pointed out old it made her that her baby is now 52.

We went to Keg Springs & Grinder's Switch. We were going to go to Amber Falls, but they were having "Patriot's Day" & Bb wouldn't go.

Dashed expectations I guess. Plus depression, unemployment, physical signs of aging, spousal arguing. Enough whining. Pat got me Dark Shadows collection I had been wanting and Jason surprised me with a lovely blouse from Pyramid Collection. He's the only guy who knows how to buy me clothes and jewelry I love. But nothing from kids. Oh! And Christine got me the most delicious gluten free ice cream sandwiches. So it wasn't all bad.

Sounds dreadful. Although, it also sounds like you have a lot more people in your life that you expect to get presents from. I called my mother to tell her it was my birthday and I had to tell her my age three times.

I have never known a man who would/could buy me clothes. Although Spouse has bought me nice earrings several times.
