Winters

Bryan and I haven't spent as much quality time as we would like to lately. To make up for it, we decided it would be really fun to bike out to Winters and have lunch. I got the idea here. I think somwhere I read that the bike ride was about 11.5 miles ( Read more... )

Ha! That's hilarious. Wow, you must have been stiff the next day! I remember being unable to bend my legs at all for about three days after our infamous Yosemite hike. It's always the "return" trip that does you in!

p.s. I hope everything is ok. I was worried that something big and tragic happened when you cancelled your East Coast trip all of a sudden...

Sometime, I'll have to tell you about the time Ty and I biked around Davis - from our house in West Davis, down along the Putah Creek Levee - way south of town and all gravel...which is surprisingly hard to bike on!, out to Mace Ranch and taking Covell back over to West Davis again. With no breaks. No food. LIttle water. NO FRICKIN SHADE. LOTS OF GRAVEL. Sometimes I thought I was on a exercise bike having really good visualization, because I WAS NOT MOVING even though pedalling as hard as I could. Then I would veer off the gravel levee road and into the ditch and realize it was all really happening.
Well, there, I've told you, now you don't have to ask. :)
Ty says it was it was only 10 miles, but I don't believe him. Plus, any miles in gravel should count for 2.5 miles each.
So much for quality time with the hubbies, eh? But we really impressed Brian Heller, who had just moved up and didn't know anything about us. :)
