soggy newspapers

Do people get soggy newspapers often?
I live on top of a driveway and the mailbox is right at the bottom next to the road.
I don't have a habit of getting the newspaper in the morning; I just pick up mail whenever I come home, and if it rains during the day the newspaper gets wet because it's partly poking out of the mailbox.
A big chunk of soggy

we get the paper wrapped in plastic so it doesn't get wet :3

Yeah, this is how it comes for me, too. Though sometimes it will still be a bit wet if the gladwrap hasn't covered the ends properly. And I'm not a big fan of trying to unroll and flatten the magazines.

I get soggy local newspapers often. Leave it out overnight (i.e. forget to bring it in) and next morning it's wet. :/

From memory, I think they wrap up the local papers on possible rainy days - though I could be wrong and not that it matters, cos I don't regularly read it. The Telegraph/SMH always comes super wrapped up in plastic that most times I can't be bothered unwrapping it until it no longer becomes news.. :P

Eh, I guess every suburb is different. I've never gotten newspaper wrapped in plastic.

Yeah, we don't get ours in plastic either...And its so painful because all the sudden global warming stuff is making me so conscious of the wasting of resources...
