I really wanted to write this in third person but it seems wanky

I finally got back to Sydney a couple of days ago from the Taiwan/Japan trip, and today was the day I started moving as well as the party at the Oaks ( Read more... )

I think the other car speeds up pretty fast, considering the damage I saw to Evan's car. I'm pretty sure you guys did the right thing, but not the other car and considering they didn't slow down in such wet weather (DUH!) AND having a baby on top of that! Women drivers, I tell you. XD

Hope you had fun on the party and thanks a lot for organising it and having me as well :) Make sure you take care of yourself.

Best to see the doctor again about your injuries, you don't want that clot breaking up. I am also guessing that the other couple had the right of way but all in all, am glad to know there were no fatalities given the wet conditions. Anyway, photos are really important because if there is any dispute, that's your evidence (especially since the police weren't there).

Yup, I went to the doctor's and they took some x-rays of my knee, she didn't see anything serious but I'm going back in a couple of days to see the radiology report. And I got some cream for burn wounds, the seatbelt burn looks red.

Don't know if my shots worked ok, I didn't try for different angles cause I didn't want to interfere with the other people trying to fend off traffic and tow the cars etc. but I'll see.

As is everybody else, I'm glad no one got hurt. You say Evan was apologising but was either driver at fault or was it just bad luck with the weather and all? Just curious.

Technically it was Evan's fault because the person turning has to give way to incoming traffic going straight. He should have waited until the other cars had passed before making the turn. Of course with the weather he couldn't see too clearly and the other car was probably going a bit fast.

Glad you guys are alright. I asked Evan how the party was on IRC that night, but didn't see this post until now...whoops.

I had a similar incident a few weeks back (no cars were touched). I was doing a 3 point turn in a quiet street with a bend further down the road. A car was coming around that bend really fast and just stopped before my car as I was reversing during the 3 point turn.
