yeah i know, he will be better off. i'm just really nervous about how hes going to react the first few days after surgery...was hershey ok after surgery? im afraid hes going to hide and just be in pain and i wont be able to get to him to give him his meds. when we first got archie he hid for like 2 weeks...i mean obviously now he knows me and tony and comes straight up to us but i'm just nervous.

hershey still has her front teeth. robin says she looks like a snake with fangs.
pets are pretty awesome. they usually recover in a day.
archie may be on pain meds for a few days, but they are fine after. its always cute/sad to pick them up from the vet. they're groggy and stuff, but they are cute.

my issue was how i felt for letting hershey suffer for as long as she did. my sis in law's a vet and i was complaining about hershey's breath for over a year. she always said "i'll come over and look" but she never did. finally, i took her to the vet and yep, once they put her under, they ended up removing most teeth.

she never chewed her food (part of the problem) so its really zero to no loss. i feed her small kibble and occasionally i give her wet food (i open a can every few weeks as a supplement/treat). her weight is great, her coat is great, she's superhappy and loving. she's a wondercat.

so yeah, no stresses. although it costs $$ ($600 for hershey), it ends up being worth it.

yeah archie's breath has been stinky for awhile now too but i didnt realize that it was an issue. i feel guilty about it now, knowing that hes been in pain for a long time. he never seemed like it. poor baby. since i found out, i've been putting drops of warm water on his dry food to soften it up, and i give him the babyfood-medicine mixture which he LOVES (licks the plate clean) and i give him wet food too so that should help him for now.

$600 isnt that bad...i HOPE thats how much its going to cost me. I was thinking it would be more like $1000. my mom said she'd help me pay for it though because i definately could not afford on my own/
