there are also places in the U.P that are 5 or 6 hours and still really nice (though i agree that couple extra days for travelling would make it more worthwhile, if there's any way you could get off work for that long).

Sign me up. We love to camp. Except I need running water and toilets. I don't do primative, I need amenities!! We like to sleep, eat, and read while camping. If we feel motivated we might go canoeing.

Yeah, you could probably sign me up on the same week as waterisdeep. I'm not into the completely primitive camping.

1. Do you want to primitive camp, campground camp, or no preference? Primitive.
2. How far are you willing to travel? I would like to go up to the UP, but not unless we are actually CAMPING for at least a few days.
3. How many days can you devote to such a trip? 7 days if UP, anywhere else 3 or long weekend.
4. Weekend or weekdays? either, but preferably weekend.
5. Are there certain dates that work better for you? I'd say late summer or mid summer.
6. Any special activities you would like to include, or special amenities you would like a campground to have? if we have a longer trip i would like to do some guys/girls split hiking. canoeing or somthing. trails or just forrest we trailblaze.
7. Anything else I should know? just keep me posted. MI is like the Camping state so i am sure we can find somthing not too far.
