Whyyyy does Germany get none of the good shops? And by that I mean, shops that actually stock fattie sizes in cute clothes. Everything a plus-sized person can get here looks like it was made for a grandma, it's part of the latent aggression against big people: if you're going to be ugly and fat, you can at least have the decency to wear a potato ( Read more... )

Those boots are darling. OMG!

And I am so with you on wishing for cute clothes in bigger sizes. It frustrates me to no end how bad the clothes in the upper sizes are. *sigh*

IIRC, the version of the album that Hot Topic carries is their exclusive version. I don't think they have any other version. But I would be happy to call them today to verify that for you. They don't open for another 4 hours, but I'll call once they do.

It's true, bad tailoring + grandma design doesn't make for good clothes. It's so frustrating. The only decent thing the one German fattie store makes is jeans, everything else is so prim and proper and behind the times.

Please don't go to any trouble about the CD! I know you have lots on your plate. I think I already have my answer and a lovely person who'll ship it to me, so I'm good :)

If you are truly in need of the boots, would it be cheaper to have someone in the states pick them up and then mail them to you?

Yes, I've arranged for that with a friend, now that I've decided I must have them :) Thank you!

Those boots are fine as hell. I wouldn't mind to have one of those myself :)

I hear ya, I have always had trouble finding boots, even when I am/was smaller. My calves refuse to be thin! I don't remember if I've tried boots at Torrid, but I haven't been in a long while (personally, I tend to fall between the HotTopic sizes and the Torrid sizes, which gets frustrating). And my Mom always complains about the grandma styles whenever we go to her "fat woman stores" (her name for them). I do think it's worse in Europe, though. Haven't been to Germany, but the other countries I've been to, I couldn't find most anything and I remember being amazed at seeing a couple overweight girls in Greece dressed all cute in Torrid-y outfits, which I think they had to import because I never saw a store there.

I think it's the standard version that has the extra. Someone bought the deluxe and it didn't have it. But I'm not 100% sure.

I have big calves too, always did. I was a ballet girl until I was 16, so that's part of the reason (aside from the fat). I think German women, if they are bigger, just try to hide away in shame and wear these tent-like things. It's so stupid - we can see you're big, just embrace it! - but I've been guilty of that too. England and the US seem much different, and the clothes reflect that.

Those are *awesome* boots *.* Between *never* being a skinny-minnie and dancing, my calves are huge, and those would actually fit loosely, since I wear a 9 1/2-10 anyway. . .wow :)

Standard Hot Topic has the extra song--do you want me to grab a copy to send with your hat?

Same here. Dancing + chubbiness makes for huge calves. But those boots look like they'd be a loose fit, which is so exciting! I went ahead and ordered them, I couldn't resist. :)

Oh, that'd be awesome! Could you? I was wondering how to get the CD, and shipping it with the hat is a great idea. Thank you so much!

Btw, did you get my email yesterday? I seem to be having some problems with lost emails.
