Actually, do you have a new cell phone/phone number? The last time I tried the old one, the message told me it belonged to someone else...
With skype, you can talk to other skype users for free, or you can call landlines for pennies per minutes (2.38yen/minute!!beats the crap out of 45yen/minute or 110yen/minute!
