Yes, I suppose they can't all be cool. I have been enjoying Junior Boys remixes lately and they are very cool.

Agreed -- it's great when a good remix expands the boundaries of a song that was already brilliant.

i especially enjoy the caribou remix of "birthday," on the off-chance you haven't heard that one yet. i think junior boys remixes are definitely at least above average.

Yeah, that one is great. I bought the extra tracks from Last Exit off iTunes last night, because the CD we have only has the regular album tracks. The Fennesz mix was blowing me away when I posted this entry, and the Caribou mix was up next!

You know, I resisted remixes and flavored vodka for the longest time and basically the same reason. "Tainted" and "Inauthentic" were words that swirled around in my mind. I regret the time lost on both, really. As it turns out, remixes and flavored vodkas can be enchanting.
