help wanted

I don't suppose anyone here knows what to do about an Safari rendering problem causing images or text to load, but not be visible until highlighted with the mouse (after which they stay visible)? I'm using a javascript Effect.Appear function, and Camino and Firefox render it just fine. Google is failing me, or I am not searching on the right

I looked at "effect.appear webkit" as a search and found this:

Looks like something about a script library may have been patched. I am a javascript idiot so I don't know what that means.

Thanks, yeah I saw that, and even tried the 0.9999 opacity thing, but no dice. I do think it's related to opacity though, because it does seem to show up ever-so-faintly at first. Also, the scripts I'm using work on other sites, just not mine. Argh.
