first of all...the widow is a piss-poor song when it comes to the mars volta

second of all, they have another album. and you should be shot by only knowing their famous song. hehe no really. i'm just very...defensive when it comes to other people liking the bands i do...personal flaw. but i will say, Frances the Mute, the rest of the album, is .nothing. like the widow...its .very. post-rock/experimental. not sure if you'd like it .at all. if you don't like Godspeed You Black Emperor! you won't like any mars volta music

third of all, i'm more obsessed with their first album than most people...its incredible...fucked me up .big. time. it's a lot more experimental than Frances the Mute. Not sure if you'd like it. tell me if you'd like to hear what its about. it .is. a concept album. confusing concept though

hey don't we all start somewhere when hearing about bands? lol, i mean really, most of us don't hear the deep cuts off albums before the hits...and the widow? a piss poor song? do you hear that man's voice? ah i can't get enough of it!!!! i have heard of their other album, frances the mute, and yes. i. am. intersted. in that album. as well as. the. rest. of. their. current. one. haha gotta love those periods...just messing with you... and the rest of the album being nothing like the widow, i'm used to that kinda stuff, that was the way it was when i bought "in keeping secret's of the earth:3" by coheed and cambria, and i'm come to like most of that album now. that's the way it is with most bands, it's very rare that you get a cd full of instant hit songs, but i do intend to check out the rest of TMV's new album in the near future...
