I love seeing bands live. I'm glad you had a good time!

I have never, ever heard of these guys. Can they be compared to anyone big and famous I might know?

I don't think I saw any other band like them. They describe themselves as " Somewhere between a 1930s Cuban dance orchestra, a classical chamber music ensemble, a Brazilian marching street band and Japanese film noir is the 12-piece Pink Martini." and that's exactly what they are. It's a culture fest.

There're samples of their albums in their website. Believe me there's nothing to describe a band, who wrote a song like "hang on little tomato", inspired by a ketchup commercial.

No wonder you had a good time! Those guys sound fun! I love anything that's a little out there and different, yet still is able to be cool. Thankie for the link!
