The people in my icons.
Icons with "picture book" in the comments are scans from my personal copy of Wraeththu: The Picture Book; the official model for Pell is Sven Weber.
This is Sven.
Sven Weber is a very pretty, wonderfully androgynous man. The trouble with Sven is that he doesn't smile much, and thus the Picture Book offers a rather limited range of expressions. From, "hey I'm pretty," to, "come fuck me," to, "uhm... pretty?" No smiles or glares or scared faces, etc, all of which I will need in game.
I'm using supplementary models, that will be credited in userpic comments to the best of my ability. Most of them, sadly, are simply credited as "random model."
This is the very pretty (and sadly uncredited) South African model that I'm using for Pell's smile.
If there's one thing I've discovered since apping Pell, it's that it's practically impossible to find androgynous models. Most of my icons are made from random male and female models from stock photography sites. I've been trying to find men and women who resemble Sven in coloring and face shape, and aren't too famous or easily recognizable. It's been tough, but I think I'm doing alright.
Edit (8/16): Alright. Alright. I caved. I'm using someone famous, but it's because he's pretty, damnit, and I love his poses. Not overly masculine or feminine, with just the right amounts of skin. So. There's a new tag for userpic comments. He's not too famous, at least, and if I crop well enough...?

And a quick plea:
I spend a lot of time searching for, cropping, and poking at Pell's icons. They're all different people, but I try to make them match as much as possible through recoloring and editing. I've redrawn jaw lines, changed skin tones and eye/hair colors, tweaked with clothing and body types... I sift through truckloads of images looking for ones I think would work, if cropped or tinted. It can take hours to just find the right pose, sometimes. Please do not take his icons for your own use without asking me. I'm begging you.
