I actually typed up a response here earlier, and realised only later that I had somehow failed to upload it. I said a number of insightful things then that I have now completely forgotten.

One chapter of the book, titled Chance and Chanceability, on the laws of probability, profoundly influenced my thinking about the Bible. When I read Billy Graham's World Aflame shortly before I turned 15, I was impressed by what seemed to me then a high correlation between biblical prophecy and events of the time. I would probably query much of this now as facile on my part, but I still feel that the level of general consistency between prophecy and the current world situation is great enough to be impressive. These days I steer clear of discussions on end-time events on the rare occasions when they arise ( ... )

Thanks for the response.

I feel a similar way about ID. I don't think it is "scientific", but I think it is a good philosophy. I think that Behe's book was good and fair, but I also agree that creationists have "taken over" ID, which is sad.
