Hmm...I've not even seen Atlantis yet...would it be too much to pick my ship based on a few pics?

Well, I think it's a personal thing. I had a strong feeling, after seeing the cast pictures, that I would be shipping for Sheppard and Weir. But I also knew that TPTB would be tossing Teyla with Sheppard. Maybe, subconsciously, I was fighting against TPTB by going with Sheppard/Weir. *g* but I doubt it.

They are a funny, chatty group. I think most of them over there have Live Journals and are on the community as well.

Just your typical snipeing where the Sam/Pete people are bashing on S/J people for not being "open minded" in regards to Sam and her love life, saying the S/J people only hate Pete because Sam didn't end up with Jack. Which, in some people's case, might be true. But definitely not in all cases. It all just makes me tired. I can still be a Sam/Jack fan without liking or disliking Pete. I'm as guilty of it as the next person but I really need, esp. starting out fresh with Atlantis, concentrate on the show first, fandom second, and simply avoid fandom "politics" where John/Elizabeth are concerned.

Yeah, so far I've found that one 'section' of fandom can be just as intolerant as any other part. So I just ignore/mock them, depending on my mood. I think I realised a while ago that it just wasn't worth getting worked up about.
