OMG TRACK CYCLING! To say I am sad that I was not able to get my hands on tickets to the Velodrome would be a vast understatement. I have also become quite enamored by Track and Field. Which, like my obsession with curling, is going to be a problem because in the US they only ever these sports when there's an Olympiad on.

Apparently the Velodrome was a pretty tough ticket to get, but I'll bet it would have been amazing. Back in...whenever the Pan-American Games were hosted in such a way that track cycling was in Indianapolis (sometime in the late 80s, maybe?), my dad went to Indy to watch, and he said it was the most exciting live sporting event he's ever been to (and he's had some good competition for that prize, in his day). But it's not a sport I've ever watched much. Very cool! Strategy + speed!
