Did you forget about the price of booze in Ottawa?? $6 is about the low end at most bars, remember? Then again, we were too proud to haul ass to one for gazillion bars in the Market, right? In any case, I really like the contact info at the end of the entry. Really shows how personalized that e-mail/journal entry was.

the contact info is the tagline from the body of my work email - 'cause i was being sneaky.

and yeah, i guess you pay around 6 for a beer in ottawa...and toronto...and brockville. i think van pricing might actually be fairly typical. the cover was still ridiculous though - for a $10 cover it was a place half the size and equal classiness of the merc lounge in the market, just seemed excessive.
