I thought this all arose because I decided to eat only half of the chocolate donut because I was already being a total donut pig and my exercise has stopped working. :)
I have to say that I fall into the "half a donut? no thanks!" category... I don't want to eat something that people have semi-eaten unless I split it with them beforehand. It just seems gross, on a visceral level. I make no claims of the rationality of this position, and when faced with a lone half-donut I would probably eat it out of pragmatism. However, if there was another whole donut next to it I would eat that one instead, even if that donut was a flavor I didn't like as much.
God I hope nobody brings more donuts home anytime soon.
