sncross_bigbang Summary: When an old high school friend contacts Chloe Sullivan about some odd happenings at his job, Chloe agrees to help out -- never realizing that "helping" means wearing a corset. When Sam and Dean check out a disappearance at a Renaissance festival, they don't count on the help of a blonde who knows everything there is to know about paranormal -- but not so much about supernatural. All Renaissance fairs ahve a little magic of their own. But when the magic at this fair goes terribly wrong, it's going to take the three of them combined to solve this case.

Ch.10 “You’re kidding, right?” Sam looked from Dean to Chloe in disbelief.
A quick inventory of the faire had shown that all the players were safe except one - the blacksmith was nowhere to be found. Chloe’s theory was that he had been caught up by the Wild Hunt.
Now, the police were long gone and the last of the players had already moved their celebration to the tavern, leaving only the three of them at the side of the vardo. In the bright light of the full moon, Chloe sat with her head in her hands while Dean paced back and forth from one end of their five foot invisible fence to the other.
“You had the Huldra right there,” Sam mimicked Dean’s pose of drawing down on the creature. “And you didn’t order it to break your curse?”
“No, we didn’t.” Chloe said quietly.
“We . . . kinda forgot about that.” Dean said.
“You two can’t get five feet apart. How did you forget that?”
“We were more worried about getting you back,” Chloe said.
Sam looked from Chloe to Dean and back. “I’m touched, guys,” he said.
“Shaddup.” Dean muttered.
“Well,” Sam sighed, “I heard from Bobby. He found something that he thinks will get those amulets off you guys.”
“What?” Chloe asked.
“Hack saw dipped in holy water.”
Dean raised his eyebrow at that. “I guess our next stop is Bobby’s house.”
“I’ll go change.” Chloe opened the trailer and stepped inside. In response, Dean stumbled over to the vardo steps as if pushed by an invisible hand. His face twisted in an annoyed scowl as he sat down on the recently-vacated steps.
“You’re taking this better than I thought you would,” Sam observed. He raised his eyebrow in a knowing expression. “I thought you didn’t want Chloe along. Didn’t you say that we’ve got a target on us?”
Dean shrugged. “Way I see it - so does she. So maybe the best way for her to learn to hunt is from two guys like us.”
Sam looked down so that Dean wouldn’t see his grin. “So she’s going to be with us for a while.”
He looked up to see Dean shove his hands in his pockets. “Let’s just take it as far as Bobby’s. Then we’ll see.”
“Sure,” Sam turned his back so that Dean wouldn’t see his expression.

As Chloe loaded her knapsack into the back of the Impala, Chad tapped her on the shoulder.
“Chad!” she hugged her friend enthusiastically.
“So now that you’re done here, what’s on the agenda?” he asked.
Chloe shrugged. “These guys said that they would teach me what they about hunting. Since they don’t seem like homicidal maniacs, I thought I would give it a try.”
“Uh huh,” Chad gave her a mischievous smile. “It helps that you have a thing for the bow-legged one.”
Chloe rolled her eyes. “Things should go back to normal here . . . Or at least as normal as they can for a Faire. But . . .”
“If something changes, I’ll call.”
“Thanks.”
“Chloe?”
“Yeah?”
“I like Mr. Bowlegged better than Olsen.”
“Me too.” Chloe ducked her head.
“Chloe?” Dean rounded the Impala and looked from her to Chad and back suspiciously. “You ready?”
Chloe nodded. “Yeah. I’m ready.” She quickly hugged Chad goodbye.
“You take care, Chloe.”
“Same to you,” she said. Then she climbed into the backseat.
Dean closed the door behind her and got into the driver’s seat. Suddenly, Chloe rolled down the window and leaned out.
“Chad, one more thing!”
“What?” Chad asked.
“Burn my corset!”
