Drabble-a-thon: Star Wars

Aug 21, 2005 19:23

Drabbles, as requested in the Drabble-a-thon post. Today's fandom is Star Wars and all drabbles are exactly 100 words (though esp. the Thrawn ones will be recycled later in longer fics because, OMG, Thrawn!). All rated PG-13 at most.

Previous round had the Star Trek drabbles.

For junediamanti: Palpatine/Anakin
Possess )

fanfic, star wars, drabbles

Oh sweet! Tiny!Obi-Wan learning to write. He is especially adorable when he says he likes Yoda because Yoda is about his height.

::though the letters are 'Trill' and 'Thesh'. Sorry::

I just bet all the younglings love pulling Master Yoda by the ears when he isn't looking. Poor thing.

...and it's most often Trill, but someplace on the Internets I can't find right now (agh!) had it as Thrill. *shrug* The Internets can't even agree whether it's Aurebesh or Aurabesh, either. ;) Sigh. Lucasverse drives me nuts sometimes.

Oh goody, mine is coming up!!

*wiggle wiggle squirm*

Not that I'm not giving these the proper love, they may even...inspire me to see the movies. I saw the first and swore off prequels forever, but they're starting to look more and more enticing. I saw the first ones when I was like ten, and nothing can quite measure up to the unbridled suspension of disbelief I awarded the first (last, I suppose) three.

Ep I was dire, Ep II equally dire (if not moreso in some ways), so it was definitely Ep III, Revenge of the Sith, that brought back my love for the fandom. It still has some of Lucas's flaws (bad dialogue, boring Padmé, etc.) but overall, it's leaps and bounds better than the first two prequels. And it's darker. OMG. That makes it so much better. Crueller, darker, with more focus on the interesting bits (the Anakin - Obi-Wan relationship, Palpatine, Anakin's ev0l side).

Oh, hell. It's worth seeing just for Ian McDiarmid's at times scenery-chewing, at times subtle and seductive performance as Palpatine. Now that was good stuff!

Ooo, these were all great! My faves are 'The Proximity of Art and Breath' and 'Merely Concerned'. ^_^
