The imagery in this was really vivid and interesting!

For the sake of Idol, I'd have recommended stopping the story before the "elsewhere." People often will not have time to read the other stories for context, and you can save off separate entries (with the scene-to-scene progression) privately from your Idol entries. The part before that cutaway felt like a complete vignette, and captured the gist of the character perfectly. No reason not to stop right there!

As you are the second person to make that suggestion, I'll do that and move it to its own "bonus" entry.

Thank you for your assistance.

That is an amazing compliment, especially coming from you. Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy the rest, when you have the time, of course.

I definitely enjoyed the imagery of the dream sequence. Dreams so very frequently don't make any sense -- and I love that this character was more than willing to write down what her dreams WERE. I did that a couple of months ago and walked away with a novel idea I'd have never considered, before. Quite awesome, that. Good job. :)

My own dreams take me in such strange directions, I'll often write myself notes when I wake up, especially if there was something unusual or striking that stood out. Wrote a short story once that was almost entirely something I'd "dreamed up".

Thank you!

The entire basis of one of my WIP's came from a very weird dream I had. It was quite incredible, really. It was like my brain just gave me this whole new world to play in.
