as i said before the house hasn't been updated and it's been well used and abused. so a low offer will be made. and will it be accepted? 50/50 chance, i think.
yesterday, i finally realized in this last year of looking, what the perfect house was. we had a chance to buy it and failed to attach. we had a bad, two-day agent at the time, which didn't help. i didn't even know which house she was refering to when she said it was selling. it would have been moogoo cheaper, since prices have gone up 14+% in the last year. and they are looking to rise even spectacularly higher in the coming months, despite fed admonitions and interest rate hikes. the reason the home wasn't purchased was twofold. one it was facing the wrong way. which today turns out to be exactly the perfect way. go fig. and secondly, the across the street neighbors were clearly insane. and they were the view. they had a tree out front, a newling, which they had fed dead squirrel and ice to. that was the woman's doing. the man brought his dog to piss on it, while smirking mischeiviously. i still think there is merit to not living near to troublesome people, but that was the perfect house. and at a brilliant price.
this knowing what the perfect house is, that there is a perfect house, that there is a good house, has brought an unexpected feeling of calm into my otherwise hectic viewpoint. and now we know what the perfect area and housing tract is for us. that is also calming. unfortunately the house were offering on is way far away from that area. cest la vis.
so, once purchased there will be lots of updating to do, including a bathroom remodel. the kitchen needs to be remodeled as well, but that may be an expense for another day. especially since i just looked up online and they say it costs in the $30-60k range. not happening.
