The one about horse statues is false, the one about Mead is technically false because this list has mead listed as a Honey *BEER* and mead is actually a type of wine.

Mind your P's and Q'S is also attributed to Typesetting in the printing business.

the Rule of thumb one was actually proven false...it actually has to do with carpenters using their thumbs as a standard of measure.
