the 2/3rds rule makes it harder to increase taxes and the need to change the state constitution

were a simple majority which Ca has had for quite some time would allow 1 party to ram down our throats any thing they wanted

the 2/3rds rule makes it harder for 1 party to control the whole ball of wax

look at it from the other side if the radical right was in control and gay rights was the issue
you would be thanking who ever you pray to for the 2/3rds rule
it is a double edged sword and it can cut both ways
