If I should live watching people
hurting themselves and crying at You,
Please, give me strength and patience.
If I should live watching people
going away from You and thinking they are gods,
Please, teach me how to show them the way back.
If I should live watching people
killing each other, either with words or swords,
Please, show me how to give them a better example.
If I should show people
when they aren't right and what is the way,
Please, give me wisdom and love.
If I should live helping people
and showing them how to love,
Please, live this life with me and teach me how to serve.
I ask to take away
my pride and fears,
my self-confidence and tears
to clean place for You,
Your love and Your light
instead.
