Damn it. I’m finding it increasingly hard to hide my feelings about this girl. I have only felt this strongly about one other girl in my whole life, but the thing is I can’t just shout it out for the whole world to hear

Alex! I didn't know you had one of these.

But getting to this whole situation. I am in a pretty similar spot. I met this girl the first day of school and instantly fell in a state of extreme fascination. Now I find out that she only wants to be friends. Life can sometimes dissapoint but the way I look at it, we are in college now, and if things don't work out with a certain girl, college campuses are always more girl populated than boy. So don't dispair over this one. I'm sure there are plenty of other girls and blah blah blah, cliche cliche cliche. Good luck, I hope she ends up feeling the same way for you (there's a good chance too, I've never known a long distance relationship out of high school to work).
