Books in 2008

As I watch very few movies and am also very bad at keeping track of what television episodes I watch, I'm only listing books this year. Maybe in 2009 I'll start off more organized :)

If you have any recommendations for what I should read next, please feel free to share them here :)

2. 'Redeeming Love' by Francine Rivers
3. 'Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo' by Obert Skye [OMG. REAAAAD IT.]
4. 'Spiderwick Chronicles' by Holly Black and...someone else.
5. 'Goose Girl' by Shannon Hale
6. 'Uglies', 'Pretties', 'Specials', 'Extras', 'So Yesterday' by Scott Westerfield

Don't books just ROCK?!

I've heard SO many people recommend Scott Westerfield's books...I guess I'm gonna have to check them out eventually! Thanks for the suggestions (and thanks to Jolie too!)

Oooh, thanks for sharing your list. Maybe I'll do one, too. :)

...I've never read anything by Agatha Christie. The Hollow, you say? Maybe I'll check it out.

I <3 Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, but I haven't read the sequel(s?). You'll have to tell us if they're good.

I know I keep going on about it, but I really do recommend The Book Thief. I think it's a must for anyone who loves books and words.

Have you read Harry Potter, yet? If you're interested, it's more than worth all those pages in the end.

I'll keep thinking. I'm sure there are waaaaay more books rattling around in my brain, but I'm still getting over a cold, so my brain isn't quite working right.

...I've never read anything by Agatha Christie.*le gasp* Well then you certainly must check out some of her books...she's the queen of crime! And yes, The Hollow is a good one of hers. I liked that it (unlike many murder mysteries out there) it dealt almost more with the characters and their back stories than with the crime itself ( ... )

She really is a genius. I'm just sorry I've only gotten to read 4 or 5 of her books so far. It's wonderful though that she has so many that it's somewhat hard to run out of Agatha reading material :)

It's funny that you mention Lois Lowry, as we're currently reading "The Giver" for our family after-dinner read-aloud. We haven't gotten very far into it yet, but once we do, I'll have to let you know what I think of it :)
