No comment there. Not to offend, I wasn't all that crazy about the original "The Fog", but I'm sure the remake is simply awful. "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" remake, I was told, sucked, too. It's a sad state of affairs when all they can do these days is make countless sequels or remakes to older films. They nearly tarnished "Psycho" with the stupid sequels and that abortion of a remake. Want to see something scary? Read some of the customer comments on the remake of "Psycho" on Amazon.com("THIS MOVIE ROCKS! BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL!") There are countless customer reviews on Amazon.com that are written, all in caps, by people who cant spell, and whose sense of history goes back as far as MTV's "The Real World". I rarely go to the movies anymore.

Oh, you troublemaker, you. I watch VERY little TV, and when David and I first met 11 years ago, he had MTV on, and "The Real World" was on, and my jaw dropped. I said, "What IS this shit?" A bunch of bored, shallow, whiny kids sitting around a big, beautiful house kvetching about each other! THAT's interesting? We have that awful show to blame for all of the "Reality TV" crap that's just about taken over. If it's on TV, it ain't reality. Are people's own lives so empty and boring and valueless that they have to sit and watch this crap? It's too bad that that a Tsunami couldnt have killed all of the casts of "Survivor", a truly despicable show, and that Carrie White couldn't be a contestant on "American Idol", so she could kill everyone on that yawner. And do I really care about Anna Nicole Smith, the walking human case of "Mad Cow Disease ( ... )

Moi.... now you know i radiate innocence...

I Go through phases with the tv,, it genreally depends on how I'm feeling and whats going on around me,, but i could quite happily go without it if there was an adventure to be had nearby :)

It's still a rather nice day here,, we have a cool breeze in town today aswell which is something that was lacking earlier in the week. Spent so much time in the sun over the weekend that I've picked up quite a lot of colour (well for me lol) Its all rather nice and is helping me forget about things.

Plus I'm going to a gig tonight so thats something else I'm looking forwards too (bounce bounce) its nice thats 2 Fridays in a row I've had something I'm utterly looking forwards to doing,, although have to go home at the end of it tonight :(

I'd heard of this a while ago, and stayed far from it since.
I have yet to see the Amityville Horror remake or the Texas Chainsaw Massacre one.

I personally don't understand why they feel the need to remake these just for the new teen audiences these days, it's pityful.

There's a number of "reasons" why they remake films ( ... )

I completely understand the studios motivations for remaking movies, but personally I don't see them as any reason whatsoever.

"If it's not broke don't fix it" is something they clearly ignore for their own ends.

Bastards.
(I won't even go into the remake of The Omen that's being made)

..they're remaking "The Omen" now? Groan. Oh, I agree, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. My friend Susan and I have said for years "Why not remake something that could've been done better, i.e. films that aren't "masterpieces" but had potential, instead of the ones that WERE successful and still hold up today? I was foaming at the mouth when "Psycho" was remade. What's the reason, besides greed?
