Why do people only post when they're sad or bored?

I hardly ever see a post made when someone is wildly happy.  Take me for example.  I don't post unless I'm avoiding doing something else.  Right now it's reading my Astronomy text.  Isn't it kind of depressing though to think that the record of the people is made up of boredom, sloth, and misery induced bits?

I don't get manically elated much, but I don't only post when I'm sad or bored. I post when I'm thinking about things and to blow off steam, but I wouldn't say that means I'm sad.
