Now I am going to copy
rebism and keep a list of Books Read in 2010 for my reference.
January:
Bel Canto - Ann Patchett (gorgeous. so engaging, made me want to forget the situation they were in, forget the future and live for the moment. everything was perfect save that I wanted it all to be different)
The Unpleasantness at the Bellona Club - Dorothy L Sayers (fun)
The God of Small Things - Arundhati Roy (so good and really too depressing for me)
Bridget Jones' Diary - Helen Fielding (making me laugh)
February:
Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason - Helen Fielding (not as funny as the first one and kind of ludicrous)
blindness - Jose Saramago (extraordinary and gripping and engaging and worrying)
Lydia - Clare Darcy (indistinguishable from other stories but still delightful. not quite as good as Heyer but less misogynistic)
Allegra - Clare Darcy (as above)
These Old Shades - Georgette Heyer (deeply problematic but I love regency romance)
An Infamous Army - Georgette Heyer (lots of historical detail which bored me but again I love regency romance)
sure there were others...
