Aside from the children, who are delightful torments and I love them and would recommend having none...

and yes! Puppy is still first in all things with the Bear. Puppy goes places and mostly to bed. He has second and third favourites: turtle teddy (a turtle) and Octopus Owl (a sting ray) but Puppy is first.

I was 17 when I lived in the UK and matroned small children :)

I know that Telegraph feeling. Was so annoyed my first letter to the editor was in it instead of the SMH.

There is something very heartwarming about being the giver of the favourite cuddling animal :)
