Sage is definitely leaving his teenagery mood. He seems calm and peaceful the past few visits, and like he knows his role and his place in the world. He seems happy when I ride him and proud of himself, and he and Thea have been much more accepting of being separated ( Read more... )

LOL, um yeah...

The problem might be in needing a hole too close to another hole...but I think it will end up being in between enough to be ok.

Argghh@ locating a leather punch though!

In this country, craft shops have them, we also inherited one from my granny. I've improvised the same outcome using a braddle in the past as well- I think my current stirrup leathers got an extra hole just using my swiss army knife.

Yup, nail, hammer, pry back and forth and voila, a hole. I have a leather punch but can never find it when I need it.

You still have stargazers blooming? Mine were done quite a while ago. Only thing that hasn't yet bloomed here is my monkshood and it may not hvae time before severe frost. Moving them set some back a bit unfortunately. I love my stargazers and my trumpet lilly's too.

Oh, okay. I was thinking, wow, she's got some late blooming variety that I want. I just love them so.
Yah, I can always find a hammer and nail, at least now that the grandsons have returned home I can. Kinda funny and the way talk about your dealings with kids you might like this. One time a couple of yrs back the boys had again spent there summer with me. No matter how I asked or pleaded they could not leave my tools alone. WEll after they left for home I immediately noticed I couldn't find any of my most used gardening tools. No where to be found and we some searched too. Well a couple weeks later Kenny went to fill in a large hole where wwe had let them dig all summer when his shovel hit something. Yup, the little critters had buried all my tools, some a couple of feet down. The more he dug the more he found. Never underestimate a child, they will come up with way more than we will ever think of. They are getting much better with them and now usually use and put back. I couldn't hlep but laugh though.

Hahaha!!! That is so funny! And yes I love children and how very very capable they are of thinking 'outside the box.'
