Auk's brother is coming to stay with us early December. Need to get this house in some type of order before then and put up the curtains in the spare bedroom.    I also need recipes for a Vegan, celiac and lactose intollerence.  Oy vey ( Read more... )

You need to find yourself a really good health food shop. Although, I'm finding my local coles has the best range of dairy/wheat free stuff. It's just a matter of carefully reading ingredients. That's why it takes me an hour to do groceries these days.. :|

Are you now gluten free too?

I am used to cooking gluten free, its all 3 cominbed thats the challenge.

We just might end up eating vege dhal and rice for 5 days.

Yeah, I'm gluten free too. Milk has always been my big one, but wheat isn't really good for me either, so I try and not eat any. I'm just not as anal about the wheat as I am about the milk.

I'm quite used to combining the three now I must confess, although I do eat meat, I often end up not eating any. Now that there's gluten free pasta, I'm all about the vegetarian pasta!

If you want to go indian- i could send you a few recipes- our stuff is all adaptable with little fuss.
aloo gobi! braised butternut. Cauliflower with peas. dhal makhani with cashews instead of yogurt. lots of ideas. I'm on fionagroenewald@gmail.com if you want me to mail them.
