Holy shit. I got into ColorSync. I started out 8th on the waitlist and it was completely hopeless. There was no way I'd get into the class this fall. But... I just checked my schedule. I'm enrolled in my first shot at real movie-making. Real color film, real sync sound, auditioning real actors, real thousands of dollars to raise and spend, ( Read more... )

I go to NYU. If the wants to do the New York thing, she should go to NYU. If she wants to do the Hollywood thing she should do UCLA or USC.

I don't know much about anybody else's program, but I'm sure there are some other fine ones around the country as well. Those are the ones that are known for good networking after graduation though.

It's the one about the guy who works in the theater... I'm not sure but I don't think I've made a PDF of the final version but I'll do that later and show people who care to read it.

Oh yeah, the other thing is that it takes place in MAINE. 8 and a half hour drive from NYC. I could find locations nearby but I'd probably have to pay, whereas if I went to Maine, I could get all my locations for free. But finding a crew who would go all the way up there is going to be... challenging.

I'm still waiting for the day when I go to a theatre and see "Catherine Weiss Presents..." (this was serious, no for the fun part:)

...and then a pause....

"Gigli 2"

(Whatever you do, don't make Gigli 2)
