Comment on this entry and I will give you a letter. Name 5 songs you love starting with that letter. And, for extra credit I'll say which character, pairing, or series it reminds me of.
King Daddy || Daddy Yankee: Horatio Caine [CSI MIAMI]
Bitches, never forget who's the BOSS: [puts on sunglasses and poses] Horatio f&*%ing Caine. He may be a one-liner meme but he's one badass with a gun and a politically-incorrect Hummer H2. Maybe I'm biased towards him and David Caruso but fuck it.
Know Your Enemy || Green Day: Psych, Shawn Spencer [with a side of Shawn's Body]
The upbeat is just Shawn to me, not just in the rebel way (Spencer in camo wear = yes plz) but in the smart makes-you-think kind of way.
Killing Loneliness || HIM: Jimmy/House [House/Supernatural/Angels and Asses]
This is for me, one of the best songs to describe the relationship (I would've gone with Broken by Seether but none of you gave me B). Jimmy's eternal by being Castiel's vessel, House's damned thanks to Silent Hill and, even with the mash-up and the consequences, they do love each other just as much (Disappear in the night, forever And denounce the power of death over our souls). It's not one of the weirdest or out-there pairings I've done but it's certainly one of the most complex and dearest to my heart.
Kryptonite || 3 Doors Down : Leon Nell [Original: Death Cheats In New York]
Nellie's theme song, instant flashback to him, especially now that he's had his revamp. Nell's been in my head for the last 8 years but only as my twin worked on her manga did I decide to retake him. He went through a overhaul (short hair, NYPD instead of private, more sexually liberated) but the essence remained the same. Plus Joel McHale is just lovely to look at.
KRWLNG || Aaron Lewis/Mike Shinoda: Silent Hill and House/Wilson during Promise
There's an underlying desolation to the song as it builds up to the lyrics, just like Silent Hill. You can practically hear the blood vines creeping up and the transitions take over the walls. It also speaks to the duality between House and Wilson and how opposites they act in the story. House is the anti-hero, the person most people expected to flake out on his teams due to his reputation as a selfish bastard but he ends up trying to help the most, even if he fails miserably. While everyone regards Wilson as the kinder of the two, he ends up being the most selfish as it is his desire for retribution that caused all the death and the suffering in the story.
Brandon: L
La Bomba || Ricky Martin: Little Lisboa in New York [Original: Death Cheats In New York]
Just a dancing tune, the one people in Hispanic and Portuguese neighborhoods would put in block parties. You can't help shake your ass to this song and feel a bit happy afterward.
A Little Priest || Sweeney Todd OST: Danny and Sawyer [Cats Don't Dance]
Shut up. A musical about of murder and human meat pies somehow translates to cats singing about murder and human meat pies in my head.
Llueve Por Dentro || Luis Fonsi: Shawn/Lassiter [Psych/Shawn's body]
It's a beautiful song in Spanish, about loving someone but unable to reach them or to fix them. They can't fix each other, and because Lassiter has 7 years ahead of Shawn as a demon, he's seen some horrible stuff and done regrettable things in his life. The song makes me think of rain (derp), washing away all the gore, sin, and filth from them
Lithium || Evanescence: Gregory House [House MD/Angels and Asses]
It's a dark and borderline suicidal song but it reminds me of House's addiction to Vicodin and his pain in canon. He wants to just make the pain disappear, especially after Amber's death, causing him to slowly but surely lose his mind to the point of hallucinations of his subconscious. It shows a brilliant mind disappearing under the drugs and the pain. In A&A, the song takes a more violent turn as it shows how desperate he once became to die once he found out he was bound to the place of nightmares.

Love Psalm || Akira Yamaoka: Jimmy Novak and Castiel [
notparadigm /
wingedschollsad ]
It's a soft rock almost jazzy musical that makes him pop in my head whenever I hear it. It's hopeful and melancholic but it's got its changes in tempo...very unlike Silent Hill and more of these characters as written by Nicci.
