It's a sci-fi/fantasy fan convention outside of Baltimore. It started out as a Star Trek convention, but now is much larger and more comprhensive. There are discussion panels and vendors, and they get some pretty big names (at least in the sci-fi circle) to come and give talks and sign autographs. In short, it's a convention of freaks. ;)
