Trailer Park Challenge: Part 2
One of my simming resolutions for last year and this year is to finish my Trailer Park Challenge which was created by the wonderful fuzzy_spork. I've reached a point in the game right now where all of the members of the next generation are teens and I need you all to pick an heir for me! So here is a bit of pic spam for you first to let you meet all of the players and then there will be a poll at the end! If you want to remember what was happening the last time I posted you can find the first part here.
When we last left off the house and grounds looked like this and the family consisted of my founder Tommy, his wife the evil witch Gina, and their four children: Johnny, Mark, Bobby Jo, and Dixie. In the last heir poll you voted for Johnny, the oldest, to be the heir so let's see how that turned out!
Johnny grew up to adult in the bathroom of the trailer and while he didn't have a breakdown about not going to college he certainly wasn't happy either.
His original transition outfit included the dreaded riding pants so his first stop was a trip to the local Wal-mart to pick up some new clothes.
Then he called up the matchmaker because Johnny hadn't really met a whole lot of girls as a teen and we needed to find a spouse quickly. Of course he didn't have a whole lot of cash so the matchmaker wasn't really thrilled about helping him out. That didn't stop Johnny from being excited though.
Despite her grumbling the matchmaker dropped Camryn for Johnny's date.
And they definitely hit it off.
Just to make sure that he couldn't do better (and to help fulfill Johnny's LTW to have 20 best friends), Johnny made a wish for friends at the well the next morning.
The well gave him three guys to hang out with so he took that as a sign that Camryn should move in.
I can't remember how much money Camryn brought into the household but it was a fairly good amount (at least I didn't get any points for it). She and Johnny didn't waste any time once she had moved in.
(Camryn also wanted 20 best friends and has a 4/10/4/4/3 personalty. Yay for all those outgoing points!)
And before long it was obvious that she was in a family way.
There is, of course, only one thing to do when that happens, and that is to propose at home with your parents standing nearby making sure you do the right thing.
And then throw a big wedding party complete with fruit punch barrel.
Despite not being invited, the gypsy matchmaker decided to crash the wedding under the guise of dropping of a genie lamp. I think this one was for Dixie and she got to take it with her when she moved out. Really though I think the gypsy just wanted to be invited since she was the one that had introduced the happy couple.
The rings were exchanged.
And it was not a moment too soon. As you can see that Camryn decided to have her baby while the wedding party was still going! (Also Cocoa the puppy grew to adult at the same time apparently.)
Camryn gave birth to the first member of generation 3, a little girl named Sarah with black hair, brown eyes, and skin tone 3 like her mother.
While Johnny was settling into being the heir, his two younger sisters were trying to survive their teen years. (Remember that their older brother Mark escaped to college almost the exact same day that he aged to being a teenager.)
Now Dixie was a relatively happy teenager who enjoyed spending time with her boyfriend, Komei.
But Bobby Jo spent her teenage years acting out and doing things like destroying paintings meant for the yearly garage sale.
Both girls are Romance sims but Dixie just seemed to be better at it. Even finding Bobby Jo someone to date didn't get her aspiration up.
This meant that when Bobby Jo finally aged to adult shortly after her brother's wedding...
She had a complete breakdown.
And this was her reaction when I had her move out to find her own place. I think everyone was relieved when she was gone.
This did mean that Bobby Jo missed it entirely when her brother got abducted. I think she would have enjoyed someone else's pain.
Especially because Johnny was really not happy about the experience.
Things started getting pretty busy around the house after that. Sarah aged to a toddler and the Smith's were actually able to afford a birthday cake for her.
It wasn't long before she was mobile. Poor Johnny and Camryn were both pregnant when Sarah learned to walk so they had a hard time keeping up with her.
Camryn was the first to give birth and a second girl joined the family.
They named this one Gertie and while she has her older sister's same coloring they have different personalities.
Dixie was a big help at this point and could frequently be found cuddling Gertie in the nursery.
As they got older Tommy and Gina were just as in love as they were back when they first got married and could barely afford a bed.
Unfortunately, Tommy had aged from adult to elder in the green and so he passed away long before Gina.
This left the whole family devastated.
To try and fill the hole in their lives Camryn decided that they should adopt a baby.
Which is how little blond haired, green-eyed, Annie joined the family.
Just as her adoptive father was giving birth.
(I'm am not kidding. See the social worker leaving in the background there?)
Little Ellie is just minutes younger than her adopted sister and the two of them have grown up very close, especially because they both have weirder than usual backgrounds in this family. Ellie inherited her father's red hair and has alien eyes.
Three babies and a toddler in the house was way too much for Dixie's romance sim personality and she rolled the want to move out the second she became an adult.
Since they needed the space more than they needed the help Johnny was more than happy to say goodbye.
Dixie moved into a nice apartment on the other side of town and her teenage boyfriend, Komei, moved in with her. They don't have any plans to get married.
Dixie's departure left three adults to care for three babies and one toddler. (I just love the "you have got to be kidding me" look on Camryn's face in the loading screen.)
Fortunately that situation didn't last long and Sarah quickly aged to child, while Gertie grew into a toddler.
And a few days later Annie and Ellie aged up as well.
Of course the lack of babies in the house meant that Camryn wanted another one.
So baby Will joined the family as well. Will has dark blue eyes and black hair.
After Will's arrival things settled into a bit more of a routine. Gina spent most of her time tending the garden and talking to the plants in an attempt to distract herself from the fact that Tommy wasn't around anymore.
Though Tommy was certainly still keeping an eye on things.
Johnny escaped the house full of small children when he could by repairing some beat up cars that he had purchased.
And everyone chipped in to help with teaching all of the babies their skills.

With the kids so close together in age it seemed like the Smith's were celebrating multiple birthdays every other day. Gertie became a child on the same day that Will aged into a super adorable toddler.
Unfortunately, that was also the day that Gina passed on.
All of Gina's children had come over to spend time with her that day which Gina had appreciated. Her grandkids were particularly upset by her passing.
But time moves on and there were A LOT more birthdays coming one right after the other to distract everyone from Gina's passing.
The annual summer yard sale came around and Johnny knew that his parents would have been proud of the amount of junk he was able to sell.
Though the day was marred by the passing of Leroy Jenkins.
Maxx the puppy was adopted to replace Leroy and he grew into a gorgeous collie.
The Smiths are a pretty happy and well adjusted family this generation.
Despite occasionally being scarred by their parents' behavior. (Poor Annie just wanted to use the bathroom and the only open one required walking through her adoptive parents' bedroom.)
The kids spent a lot of time together and Sarah even seemed to enjoy hanging out with all of her younger siblings.
Although time spent with other teens was clearly more fun.
Sarah didn't have to wait long to have other teens to hang out with in the house though. Gertie was the first to age up and then Annie and Ellie aged at the exact same time.
And that left Will as the baby of the family that everyone doted on.
With so many teenagers living in his house it should come as no surprise that Johnny seemed to go grey just a bit early.
And soon he had a teenage son to worry about along with four teenage daughters!
It was really the girls that he had to worry about the most though. Particularly when they started bringing home Gordon Nott. Sarah, Gertie, and Annie all rolled family as their aspirations while Ellie rolled Fortune. So while Ellie was the first to bring Gordon home.
Annie was the first to fall in love with him.
And Sarah was next. Annie actually does seem to mind sharing and I'm sure it's only a matter of time before Gertie joins in as well.
So things are just about to get interesting in the Smith household again. I anticipate that next generation might be the craziest so far!
We are now caught up to where I have played in the game. Here's what the lot looks like now. They have three trailers and room for a fourth. The Smiths have also purchased some hunting land and will likely be taking a trip there soon.

Her LTW is totally doable.
Cons: She has her mother's nose instead of her father's. She's not very outgoing. There are a lot of kids younger than her that have to age up and move out before she can have a whole bunch of kids.

Cons: She's not actually related to the Smiths and all of Tommy's awesome genes would be lost. She also has an impossible LTW.

Pros: Ellie has awesome genetics and her father's nose. She's also a lot of fun to play and would make for an interesting heiress. Her LTW is potentially doable though it would be a challenge. She probably wouldn't mind having a few illegitimate babies. As one of the youngest there will be lots of room for her to have kids as her older siblings will have moved out.
Cons: She's one of the youngest so it will take a bit of playing to be able to get to the next generation but that's really not that bad.

Disqualified because he is a knowledge sim. This actually works out really well as I have potential plans for him in the Penguinos and he'll be likely heading to college early to make room for one of his sisters to have babies and to escape his crazy family. (By the way, Will's name was totally an accident. I was naming the kids after characters in the musical Oklahoma! this generation).
