I designed a pair of lovely Scandinavian mittens today and I started on them already, using white and a really pretty purple color of Berocco Ultra Alpaca.  They are so soft, and they are going to be so nice.  Unfortunately, they will probably be too big for me, so The Boy is getting purple mittens!   YAY!

Dude, Joanna... I bought a book to learn knitting back when I went to Illinois, just cuz it was cheap and I figured, what the hey. Soooo recently I decided to try to teach myself to knit.
That stuff is hard! I don't know how you do it. Crocheting is wayyyyy easier.
How did you learn?

it took me FOREVER and like three tries to finally learn crocheting, and I still only do it when I have to
