Last week I FINALLY got the results back from the chromosomal testing they did on the baby.  Like, I know it probably takes awhile to extract and analyze DNA from a kidney bean sized person, but seriously.  And then my RE's nurse called me with the results and I never heard anything from the hospital/OB anyway.  I swear that place has gone downhill

I thought the box said Michael but didn't want to ask on Facebook. I think it's wonderful. Do you mean not be able in the sense that it would be one too many Michaels or in the sense that you thought a cousin might name a baby that? I'm not calling dibs on any names any time soon, just so you know. Even the names of my parents.

All that aside, I think the box is such a lovely idea. And I'm glad to know this is something that shouldn't happen again. I know that you and Nick will have another wonderful child some day when the time is right. I hope you can get yourself to a place where you feel right and I'm sure when you do, things will happen like you want them to.

Yeah, I know from hearing experience that it can be weird when you have to use the same name to refer to different people in your family, so then you have to speficy who you're talking about. (i.e. the Eli and Eli problem) Although a generation removed might make it easier. But also he would have the same last name as Nick's uncle, so same name exactly. No matter now, anyway, it's off the table! I have always felt like we'll have a girl next, so we'll see.

The Eli/Eli problem is really unfortunate and goofy. Ah well.
I hope you have a girl. :) I keep waiting for someone in the family to have one. I just hope it doesn't end up being Chelle, even though I don't think she's planning on having kids for a few more years. The idea of Chelle having kids, especially a girl for some reason, scares me.
