awesome highlights

I bought new workout pants today. Yes, this is the highlight of my day. But I'm really excited about them because a) they don't make my ass look huge (even though they're the skin tight ones...they're capris so it balances), b) they were $15, and c) my current workout shorts are getting holey and it's hard to find new ones.

Yep, exciting life I ( Read more... )

Congrats on the 4 years, that's pretty amazing. I wish you two the best of luck :)

And as for your "exciting life" you mockingly called it, getting free lunch is definitely exciting, so don't knock it!

Awww! Happy belated 4-year anniversary!

You know what Rich and I did to celebrate 4 years? Yeah, I don't know either. I think we may have gone out to dinner... OH the exciting lives we lead....

I dunno what to tell you to do other than lunges. I'm a total workout noob. I mainly just walk, do some pushups/situps/lunges/mild resistence stuff. And then work takes care of the rest. (Wrestling angry horses, lifting full buckets of water, walking, walking, and more walking.)

And free food is ALWAYS noteworthy. C'mon! Food. Foooooooood. Who doesn't like food??

I'm glad that Colorado is still awesome! *istotallyjealous* Yaaaay Gwen!

those boots are badass.

yikes, i'd say take care of those hip flexors while it's not a big deal. i strained mine once and it ruined my backstroke for like half the season, not to mention it's really painful. take a break from anything that hurts them, ice them a couple times a day, and do some stretches (err, not with the ice, lol) that's my best suggestion. anyway, here are some stretches if you're interested.

our talk about colorado really solidified my decision to work towards eventually going there. not sure when it will be, but thanks for all the info!

congrats on your anniversary! :)

Yeah, I'm kind of in love with those boots. I wish they would get here like now so i can prance around in them without pants on. Was that TMI?

I've never really had problems with my hip flexors before...they probably weren't all that strong during swimming (or maybe they were and i didn't notice?). The whole problem is the part where I "take a break from anything that hurts them" because normally when something hurts i'm like "oh...yeah i'm just gonna ignore that". Bad athlete, i tell you! Thanks for bein' all thoughtful and looking up some stretches for me. :)

I'm so happy I could help in your decision for CO! It's amazing, and it would be awesome to see you here in a couple years or whenever you come (i'll be here for a while...like 5 years at least).

hahaha, it reminds me of "lost in translation" except i don't think that chick had boots. heh, take care of yourself! if nothing else, just think about all the fun, non-athletic stuff you're going to need your hips for...trust me, you don't want to strain them ;)

Hey there sis. I'm glad to hear that you like grad school so far.

It's cool that you and Ryan have been together for so long. I can only imagine how hard it is for you being so far apart, but it's awesome that you guys can stay together through it all. I had a dream the other day that you came back from Colorado one time with an engagement ring on your finger (from Ryan, of course).

I wanted to tell you how much it meant to me that you flew in for my graduation. I know, I didn't really show it at the time and we didn't really get so spend much time together, but it really meant A LOT to me. So, thanks for taking some time out for you're little sister.

Well, I think I'm gonna go to bed. Talk to you later.
