Have you read The Dagger of Never Letting Go perchance? It came into the library and I was intrigued, started flipping through it, was unable to put it down (which surprised me--I wasn't exactly enjoying it, but I STILL could. not. put. it. down). But then the ending...yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh. So I want to find other people who've read it.
She is actually Paul Zindel's daughter, a fact that never fails to annoy me, because they call it out on the flap copy of both books--and yet it seems to me that I don't care about her famous relatives, I just want to know if she's any good.
Also, she doesn't write the same kind of books as her father AT ALL--which is fine, but then why call him out in HER flap copy?
I did read and love The Knife of Never Letting Go. I thought it was totally brilliant and the ending killed me DEAD and I can't wait for the next book. We should discuss!
It's a very strange little book. There were moments that I really enjoyed, but for the most part I have no idea what it was trying to be. I kind of wish she had picked one direction and ran with it.
