No! Book heroines ARE allowed. Taylor Markham from Jellicoe Road and Alanna of Tortal and Felicity from A Great and Terrible Beauty and Meg Murray and Scout have already been nominated. Get those K-girls out there!

An interesting list, as much for what it says about the people nominating as anything else.

For instance, I found it interesting that someone was nominated as "a mother and a soldier" and several other things, and the first reply was: "Because she's a soldier before she's a mother or a lover or a friend."

Curious, the values we've taken on.
