that is so much more attention than a homeless person in DC would get. that's probably why he's there. people in that area aren't accustomed to seeing like that, and so they feel more compelled than more jaded city lurkers.

its awful in big cities like that b/c theres so many homeless people...you can't help them all. not monetarily, at least.
