Me too. I would describe my musical tastes as "promiscuous." I'm sure that some of my musical friends would be puzzled -- and others horrified -- by looking at my CD collection. Everything from 17th century German Baroque choral music to 19th century orchestral to be-bop jazz to sixties rock to 1980s Top Forty to 21st-century bubble gum pop (the latter more suited for a female audience about 20-30 years younger than me).
I know exactly what you mean. There's some music that I tend to avoid (generally I'm not keen on country & western-though there are some songs even within that genre that I think aren't that bad-or anything that sounds like the instruments are being torn/smashed to bits), but for the most part there's very little that I won't listen to. If it's something I can sing along with in the car, then that's an added bonus, of course. :)
