dcf loves jesus, and appears fearless in regards to the mystery of the journey.

I'm sure it's accidental that you''ll be spending 7 weeks on these issues. . .the spiritual number for completion. . . purely accidental . . .how well dcf leadership thinks about everything.

i wish i could be there for winn's lessons.
this is your best blog in awhile. i think.
i was thinking about how the Bible says Jesus comes back to Earth. and I think he establishes his new kingdom here. i don't really know much about it, cuz i don't read the Bible enough. But it seems like that means the Earth is Heaven, so we don't have to wait to get to heaven, we can start making earth like heaven with our lives.
and you're so right about eternity. we're already living our eternity with God. there's still much to hope for, but also much to embrace now that i think i miss.
i like who you are. and i want to see your art.

Word. In respect to your thoughts on living/dying a quote that I will leave for your pondering. I won't unpack it, but it has had a lot of meaning to me. Take it for what its worth:
"Anything worth living for," Nately said, "is worth dying for."
"And anything worth dying for," answered the sacrilegious old man, "is certainly worth living for."
-Catch-22

Also, in our house church we've been talking a lot about going/staying. Its funny how often heaven is refered to as a final resting place. I was thinking that C.S. Lewis, although not boldy, makes a statement that heaven isn't a final resting place, its a final journy. In both the Great divorce and the cronicals of narnia, heaven is a contuinal journy "further up and further in" as you (or your soul) becomes less transparent in the light of Gods Glory.
