I felt like a hippy today. This morning it was cold when I awoke at 6:00 so I put on warm work shoes. By the time I got done working and had to go to class, it was toasty outside and flaming inside my socks. I saw a piece on the International newsfirst channel (One of the few good things about satellite t.v.) about Bhutan. The country has a policy of national happiness they dub, "Gross National Happines," kind of like the United States's Gross National Product but more focused on the real needs of the people. Emily cut my hair this past weekend, the last weekend of spring break, and Morgan digitally filmed me combing out my long black curls before the cut to the song, "I Feel Pretty." I actually went outside for more than ten minutes this weekend. I don't know how many times I've tried but once I'm out in the cold I turn tale and run back to the fire place.
