sorry about the debating.. i guess he was calling you some sort of fundamentalist wacko for believing that "the purpose-driven life" is on a different plane than "the daVinci code". fiction is a charged word; this guy probably thinks the bible is fiction. I know what you had in mind was to say that one has characters and a plotline and the other doesn't.. he's a butt for trying to debate whether they're fiction or non-fiction.

well, i figure if you what to prove god existance why turn to a work of fiction? He told me to read the da vinci code but said i wouldn't beacuse of my attitude. I guess i am to rapped up in the fiction pradigme:

actually the double equal sign operator returns a boolean true or false. It only really works for logic, while the single equal sign casts the second value to the first variable. So what you typed should be;

if book == fiction then
book = fake
endif

but I prefer C++. if (book==fiction) {book=fake;}

aww, i know i miss talking to people to, aside from meg. I haven't talked to anyone much since you left. It sucks that we are relegated to short phone convorsations for any type of communication purposes (email & letters do not allow you to have the same type of convorsations as in person, hence me disregarding them).

You can read the Bible before you go to bed, that isn't that hard, even though you might be asleep. The act of you reading will make a statement enough, in such an environement I would think it be better if you took a passive aproach to talking about our belives so that no one getts offended and you get even more alienated.

I guess I could read a little at night, its soo hard to keep my eyes open at the end of the day . . . I'd need a flash light too since there are 5 people sleeping in the same room. I try more to stay awake I guess . . .

Agnels and Demons

Angels and Demons was written by the same author as the Da Vinchi code. It still pokes fun at christianity but it tries to bring up a new view on god. He actually tries to use science by saying that God is a form of energy and that his tools for creation could quite possibly be those same explinations we see in science such as the big bang

if you watch some shows on the da vinci code the different aspects of the conspiracy break down a little bit. Not to say there isn't one, beacuse it does seem to be plausible.

with inteligent design and a little bit of the string thoery you can make a case, useing science, for the existance of a higher power.
